Dummy Guide To Making A Giant Rotating Lantern

The core structure.

Steel pillar that supports 2 central lanterns.

The 'motherboard' is located at the lower lantern.

The customized hand cut 'motherboards'.

The motherboard controls the timing and blinking of the bulbs.

The motorized pulley system will rotates the core structure.


The 2 main lanterns placed on the main structure.
These are covered with pre-cut rice paper inclusive of delicate pre-cut patterns.

And who says monks only chant and meditate ?

The remaining little lantern which will be hung later on.
Spray paint with bright color.



And here's the masterpiece, a 2-tiers rotating (opposite direction) & well-litted lantern.

Dummy Guide To Installing Skylight Roof

Materials required :-
4 pcs mild steel pillar
2 pcs mild steel beam
3 pcs roof frame

Step 1 (the foundation) :-
Erect the 2 pillars
Then the beam.
Weld them.
Repeat above for the other 2 pillars and beam.

Step 2 :-
These are the frames for the roof.
The polycarbonate sheets will be later fastened on these.

Hoist the 1st section of the roof frame.

Hoist the 2nd section.

And finally the 3rd section.

Welding required to joint all 3 sections of the roof frame.

The completed foundation and roof frame.

Step 3 :-

Some painting work required.

1st layer of anti-rust paint.

2nd (outer) layer of ICI.

Step 4:-

Marklon polyglass polycarbonate hollow sheets (comes with 10 years warranty).

Fasten and secure the sheets onto the roof frame.
