Dummy Guide To Making A Giant Rotating Lantern

The core structure.
Steel pillar that supports 2 central lanterns.
The 'motherboard' is located at the lower lantern.
The customized hand cut 'motherboards'.

The motherboard controls the timing and blinking of the bulbs.

The motorized pulley system will rotates the core structure.


The 2 main lanterns placed on the main structure.
These are covered with pre-cut rice paper inclusive of delicate pre-cut patterns.

Creativity of the monks from Sri Lanka.
And who says monks only chant and meditate ?

The remaining little lantern which will be hung later on.
Spray paint with bright color.



And here's the masterpiece, a 2-tiers rotating (opposite direction) & well-litted lantern.
